In the North Caucasus Federal District increased the detection of crimes

Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation Alexander Bastrykin held an operational meeting in Essentuki (Stavropol Territory), at which the results of the work of the IC units in the North Caucasus for 6 months of 2023 were summed up. The report says that in the North Caucasus Federal District there is a decrease in crimes of a terrorist nature and an extremist orientation by 32% and 36%, respectively.

In the first half of the year, 37.7 thousand crimes were registered in the district, which is 2% lower than last year's crime rate. 327 crimes of the past years were solved. Over 10 years, the overall clearance of murders in the North Caucasus Federal District has increased from 66% to 92%.
