In Ukraine, the head of Ingushetia was sentenced in absentia to prison

The head of Ingushetia, Makhmud-Ali Kalimatov, was sentenced in absentia to eight years in prison in Ukraine, the Ukrainian Prosecutor General's Office reported.

The ruling was made at the request of the Chernivtsi Oblast Prosecutor's Office.

Kalimatov is accused of financing Russian troops and sending them resources, assisting in the recruitment of contract soldiers for the Russian Ministry of Defense, and providing the army with medicine, transportation, and other necessary equipment.

As a reminder, the head of Ingushetia is subject to sanctions imposed by the US and UK.
