The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine will demand a pardon of Mikheil Saakashvili

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has registered a draft appeal to Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili and the parliaments of EU countries to pardon Mikheil Saakashvili. The project was initiated by dozens of deputies, including the leader of the ruling party of Ukraine, David Arakhamia.

Recall that on July 4, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky instructed the Foreign Ministry to protest to the Georgian ambassador and invite him to leave Kyiv in connection with the state of Mikhail Saakashvili. On the video recording of the next court session, he looked extremely exhausted due to a long hunger strike. Tbilisi called Zelensky's demand interference in the country's internal affairs.
