Georgia and Azerbaijan are striving to simplify border crossings: the parties plan to introduce a single-window system at joint border crossings.

The General Council of United Russia has decided to support the current heads of Ingushetia and Kabardino-Balkaria. Accordingly, the president was offered the candidacies of Makhmud-Ali Kalimatov and Kazbek Kokov for the posts of heads of the republics.
“The colleagues are members of the Supreme Council of the party and enjoy the trust of the residents of the regions entrusted to them,” said Acting Secretary of the General Council of United Russia Vladimir Yakushev.
Proposals should also come from other parties, after which the president will submit three candidates to the parliaments of the republics (the elections in these regions are indirect).
Recall that direct elections for the head of Stavropol will be held from September 6 to 8, during which Vladimir Putin supported the current governor, Vladimir Vladimirov. In Ingushetia, the vote will take place on September 8, 2024, and in Kabardino-Balkaria – no later than October 23. Makhmud-Ali Kalimatov has headed Ingushetia since 2019. Kazbek Kokov became the head of the KBR in 2018.
