A meeting of the National Anti-Terrorism Committee was held in Moscow, dedicated to countering the spread of terrorist ideology, neo-Nazism, and religious extremism in the North Caucasus Federal District.

The Southern District Military Court sentenced Daniil Kamnev, a surviving participant in the hostage taking in Rostov pretrial detention center, to 23 years in prison. He was charged with preparing an explosion in the building of the OMVD of Kislovodsk. The man admitted his guilt.
Recall that on June 16, the "Mujahideen of the Islamic State" (as they called themselves) took two hostages in Pretrial Detention Center No. 1 from among the FSIN employees. The prisoners demanded transportation and the opportunity to leave the detention center. The FSIN reported that they died during the assault, and the hostages were not harmed.
Among the captors were three natives of Ingushetia - Malik Gandaloev, Shamil Akiev and Azamat Tsitskiev - as well as a native of Chechnya Tamerlan Gireev, Magomed Saipudinov from Dagestan and Daniil Kamnev from Stavropol.
As it turned out later, Malik Gandaloev and Daniil Kamnev survived the attackers; the latter was discharged from the hospital and taken into custody. He described how the detention center and hostages were seized. In addition, Kamnev pointed to specific FSIN employees who brought knives into their cell for 5 thousand rubles.
