Suspected customer and perpetrator of assassination attempt on former deputy chairman of the Ingush government detained

Police detained 45-year-old Bashir Omarkhodjaev and 49-year-old Vasily Konovalov. The former is suspected of being the customer and the latter of being the perpetrator of the assassination attempt on Sherip Alikhadzhiev, former deputy chairman of the Ingush government and assistant to State Duma deputy General Shamanov.

According to investigators, Omarkhodjaev gave Konovalov an advance payment of 500,000 rubles, a pistol with a silencer, photographs, and all information about the victim. Omarkhodjaev was detained at the Yaroslavsky railway station in Moscow. The man is an entrepreneur, he has an individual entrepreneur registered in Ingushetia. Konovalov is a citizen of Ukraine. He has a number of convictions, both in Russia and in Ukraine.

Let us recall that Alikhadzhiev was shot on October 10 in a house in Odintsovo, he is currently in intensive care with two gunshot wounds. The Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee for the Moscow Region has opened a criminal case on the fact of attempted murder (Part 3 of Article 30 Part 1 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
