A 43-year-old Anapa resident has been remanded in custody by the Takhtamukaysky District Court of Adygea for two months on charges of publicly insulting the feelings of believers (Part 2 of Article 148 of the Russian Criminal Code). According to investigators, on the night of September 14, he threw a pig's head onto the grounds of a mosque in the village of Kozet.
This charge carries a penalty of up to three years in prison or forced labor.
