A resident of Dagestan was handed over to Interpol officers for deportation from Egypt to Russia. He is suspected of kidnapping and extortion. This was reported by the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs Irina Volk.
 
The extradited man is a former employee of the Wagner PMC. According to investigators, in November 2023, he and his accomplice kidnapped the director of a construction organization in Khasavyurt. The attackers beat the hostage and then demanded a ransom for his release. After receiving more than 30 million rubles, the businessman was released, and the kidnappers themselves fled.
 
One of the participants was caught red-handed, and the second managed to leave the country. He was put on the international wanted list. In 2025, information appeared that the man arrived in Cairo with forged documents.
