A resident of Dagestan was kidnapped by “fake police” and held in the Psychological Assistance Center in Ingushetia for a month and a half

The Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee for Dagestan opened a criminal case regarding the kidnapping of a person by a group of persons by prior conspiracy for mercenary reasons. One defendant was taken into custody, the second was put on the federal wanted list. In the summer of 2023, they kidnapped a resident of the republic and illegally detained him in a medical facility in Ingushetia.

According to the investigation, on August 15, in the village of Petrakovskoye, Khasavyurt district, two residents of Ingushetia introduced themselves as employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and forcibly took away a local resident. He was handcuffed and put in a car. Then they took me to the Psychological Assistance Center in the Ingush village of Barsuki, which operated without a license on a commercial basis.

The Center's employees threatened the man and mocked him. He tried to escape, but was caught. The resident of Dagestan was held until September 29. His close relatives pulled him out of there.
