Ingushetia resident accused of assisting "militants"

In Ingushetia, Interior Ministry and FSB officers detained a local resident. The man is suspected of assisting members of the international terrorist organization "Islamic State".

According to investigators, the man detained in April 2023 hid in his home individuals wanted for an armed attack on law enforcement officers in Ingushetia and North Ossetia. The man also, according to security officials, provided them with food and transportation services.

Investigative bodies have opened a criminal case on complicity in organizing an illegal armed group. No information was provided about the identity of the detainee.
