During the annual "Year in Review" press conference, Russian President Vladimir Putin, responding to a question about support for young families, noted the tradition of early marriages in the North Caucasus. He said he believed this was "right" and suggested "following their example," citing Ramzan Kadyrov's large family.
Having been bullied by a security official, Soslan Dzidakhanov demanded 1 million rubles from the Ministry of Internal Affairs as compensation for moral damage. The Ardonsky District Court of North Ossetia reduced this amount to 200 thousand rubles. The victim expressed disagreement and intends to appeal.
According to the court, police officer Atsamaz Gioev with threats pulled Dzidakhanov out of the car in the village of Kosta, grabbed him by the neck and began to choke him. Then he threw him to the ground and hit him on the head several times. Other law enforcement officers present at the scene did not try to stop their colleague. Dzidakhanov tried to film the security officer, but he again lifted him up, threw him to the ground and kicked him in the head.
In 2022, Gioev was sentenced to four years of suspended imprisonment under the article of abuse of power with the use of violence.
