The lawyer called the investigation into the failure to provide medical care to a prisoner native of Ingushetia a formal inspection

The prosecutor's office of the Astrakhan region did not find any violations of the law in the actions of the employees of IK-6, and the necessary medical assistance is provided to prisoner Albagachiev. This was reported in the department’s response to lawyer Irina Biryukova. The defender called such a check formal and biased and intends to appeal the refusal to initiate a criminal case.

Let us remind you that a prisoner in the Astrakhan colony, a native of Ingushetia, Abdul-Malik Albagachiev, had previously sewn his mouth shut. The man remained in this condition for two days, after which he was taken to an unknown direction. The reason for such a protest was the failure to provide the convict with medical assistance during an epileptic seizure. Previously, his relatives stated that the frequent attacks of epilepsy were a consequence of the torture to which he was subjected by security forces.
Abdul-Malik Albagachiev also suffers from headaches. Before his arrest, he was an absolutely healthy person.

The man was convicted in 2018. He was charged with participating in an illegal armed group in Syria. Confessions of guilt were extracted by torture. However, he never admitted guilt.
