️ Airports of the North Caucasus and Southern Federal Districts fell under Ukrainian sanctions

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky supported a new package of sanctions by the National Security and Defense Council against 73 economic entities (airports and air cargo companies) and 74 individuals of the Russian Federation.

The Russian companies included in the sanctions list include the airports of Mineralnye Vody and Stavropol (North Caucasus Federal District), as well as Gelendzhik, Sochi, Adler and Krasnodar (Southern Federal District). Any economic activity, as well as flights and transportation across the territory of Ukraine, are prohibited for them.

As for individuals, the sanctions against them involve blocking assets, restricting trade operations, flights and transportation on the territory of Ukraine, preventing the withdrawal of capital outside of Ukraine, terminating trade agreements and prohibiting the transfer of technology.

Russia has stated its readiness to consider joining the TRIPP project (the transport corridor between Armenia and Azerbaijan). Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova announced at a briefing that Moscow is interested in participating and is prepared to offer Russian Railways' expertise for the project's implementation.
