Alaudinov and Yevkurov awarded new ranks
Deputy Chief of the Main Military-Political Directorate of the Russian Armed Forces, commander of the Chechen unit "Akhmat" Apti Alaudinov received the rank of lieutenant general. In addition, Deputy Minister of Defense Yunus-Bek Yevkurov was awarded the rank of army general. This follows from the decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Alaudinov gained notoriety among human rights activists long before his current high appointment in the Ministry of Defense and "federal popularity", being Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Chechen Republic. At that time, he openly called for crackdowns on everyone who, in his opinion, had similarities with the Wahhabis, and criticized the Chechen authorities.

"... I swear by the Koran, if there is even the slightest resemblance to the Wahhabis, I personally took it upon myself, the new head of the ROVD is sitting here, I personally said to dodge. "If you can put someone in jail, put them in jail. If there is an opportunity to plant something, something in a pocket, plant it, do whatever you want and kill whoever you want. The ruler [Ramzan Kadyrov] said to convey this to him...", Alaudinov swore in 2013.

The video with that statement is still available on YouTube. Later, however, the police chief himself, as the media wrote, moved into the category of hidden critics of the head of Chechnya, for which he fell into his disfavor and was dismissed from his post in March 2021. One of the reasons for the disgrace of the scandalous general, as Novaya Gazeta wrote in 2019, was "a humorous slap on the head of a portrait of Ramzan Kadyrov." The deputy minister allowed himself this gesture while visiting the former mayor of Argun, Ibragim Temirbayev. Alaudinov himself vehemently denied the publication in Novaya, making a video address in which he swore allegiance to the head of the republic. However, despite everything, Alaudinov - formally, at least - retained the post of deputy minister, and a short time after his dismissal, he was appointed assistant to the head of Chechnya. The war in Ukraine became his finest hour and an opportunity to fully rehabilitate himself before the powerful head of Chechnya. Thus, already in July 2022, Ramzan Kadyrov appointed the police major general and commander of the special forces as secretary of the Security Council of Chechnya and called him "dear brother". Yunus-Bek Yevkurov, in turn, held the post of head of Ingushetia from 2008 to 2019. He resigned early in June 2019 amid protests in the region over a border agreement between Chechnya and Ingushetia signed by the heads of the two republics on September 26, 2018.
