Aliyev advised Armenia to forget about Karabakh

Azerbaijan does not need war, but guarantees are needed that Armenia will not try to take revenge. This was stated by the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, speaking before the participants of the international conference “Karabakh: Returning Home after 30 Years. Achievements and difficulties" in Baku.

“Azerbaijan needs this because we know what is happening in Armenia... We are aware of advisers in some European capitals,” Aliyev said. He advised Yerevan to forget “about Nagorno-Karabakh, which remains in history,” and begin delimiting the border.

“Armenia may think that it can “take back” Karabakh again using the weapons of France and India. I'm not talking about its quality yet. Even with modern weapons this is impossible. Because the outcome of the war is decided thanks to people and their spirit. Even after the Second Karabakh War (2020), Armenia itself stated that they had 12 thousand deserters and defectors during the war. In other words, they will not be able to resist Azerbaijan,” Aliyev said.
