The Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned Artur Sargsyan, Armenia's acting chargé d'affaires, to deliver an official statement protesting the "unfriendly steps" of the Armenian side. The basis for this action was statements by Armenian Parliament Speaker Alen Simonyan, who asserted that his country "should not become a province and be governed like Belarus."
Aliyev offered peace to Armenia
The religious, educational, cultural rights of Karabakh Armenians will be respected in accordance with international conventions. President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev announced this at the urban planning forum in Zangilan.
According to him, the time has come for representatives of Azerbaijan and Armenia to sit down at the negotiating table to work on a draft peace agreement.
“It is necessary to actively work on border delimitation and put an end to the long-term confrontation. In Azerbaijan, we want peace and stability in the Caucasus. It's possible. The choice is Armenia’s,” Aliyev said.
As of September 29, almost 93 thousand displaced people from Karabakh arrived in Armenia. In total, 140 thousand people lived in the region.
