An arrested war opponent from Dagestan could be sent for compulsory treatment

Activist from Derbent Ulker Gashimova has not been in touch for two weeks. Her fiance, the creator of the Free Eurasia telegram channel Anton Kolomitsyn, suggested that the girl was sent for compulsory psychiatric treatment.

In one of her last letters, Gashimova reported that the investigation had repeatedly threatened to place her under compulsory psychiatric treatment. Then she was taken for a forensic psychiatric examination to the psychoneurological department at pre-trial detention center No. 5 of Leninsk in the Volgograd region.

Previously, Ulker Gashimova was placed in pre-trial detention center No. 1 of Makhachkala. A criminal case was opened against her under terrorism charges due to publications on social networks. The girl spoke in support of Ukraine and for the independence of the peoples of the Russian Federation.

Gashimova is also accused of calling for violation of the territorial integrity of Russia. The reason was publications that part of Dagestan historically belongs to Azerbaijan.

Earlier, a court in Moscow arrested Ulker Gashimova for 10 and then 15 days under the article of disobedience to the demands of a government official when crossing the state border. She tried to fly abroad from Sheremetyevo Airport to Belgrade in order to request political asylum in the Netherlands during the transfer. After her arrest, she was sent by plane to Dagestan.
