Armenia and Azerbaijan blamed each other for the shelling
The Azerbaijani military attacked Armenia, reported in Yerevan. According to the Armenian defense department, at 05:30, units of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces opened fire from small arms in the Nerkin Hand region. The Armenian Ministry of Defense reported two dead and several wounded on its side.
Baku said that Armenia fired at their positions. “On February 12, at 20:50 and at 23:40, units of the Armenian armed forces from positions in the direction of the settlement of Chinarly in the Tovuzgalin region fired at the positions of the Azerbaijani army in the direction of the settlement of Kokhanabi in the Tovuz region,” the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense said in a statement.
