Armenia and Azerbaijan once again accuse each other of escalation and violations

A couple of days ago Baku responded to proposals sent by Yerevan on the text of the peace treaty, but tries to break the "red lines" of Armenia. This was stated by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

Azerbaijan is trying to impose territorial demands on Armenia by a possible peace treaty. He also tries to obtain a mandate for ethnic cleansing in Nagorno-Karabakh, to prevent Armenia from obtaining a system of security guarantees, which is unacceptable,» said Pashinyan. Among the priorities for Yerevan was the establishment of a mechanism for dialogue between Nagorny Karabakh and Baku.

Azerbaijan’s Assistant President Mehmet Hajiyev said that the future of Armenia depends on normalization of relations with Azerbaijan and Turkey. In Karabakh there are about 10 thousand personnel of illegal Armenian armed formations. They create new posts and engineering fortifications, pollute territories with mines and bombard Azerbaijani positions», - said Hajiyev. According to him, Armenia cannot call for the creation of a demilitarized zone around Karabakh and to send a UN mission to the Lachin Road, as this is the territory of Azerbaijan.
