Armenia will discuss unacceptable interference in the media with the Russian Federation

The Armenian authorities turned to the Russian Federation with a request to discuss the implementation of the agreement on cooperation in the field of mass communications. The Russian Foreign Ministry confirmed the upcoming consultations.

On November 25, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said that Russian television channels broadcasting in the country interfere in its internal affairs and destabilize the internal political situation. On September 30, a deputy from the ruling party Badalyan noted that the Armenian authorities are discussing the shutdown of Russian television channels in the country.
