Armenia accused Moscow of failing to prevent a military incident on the Azerbaijani border
Yerevan considers Moscow responsible for the recent incident on the border near the village of Nerkin Hand, when Azerbaijani border guards carried out Operation Retribution.
“Russia is present there, and it was unable to prevent hostilities,” said Armen Grigoryan, Secretary of the Armenian Security Council.
According to Grigoryan, the EU mission did not have access to the area, and only Russia is present there. The EU mission plays a stabilizing role, we fully support it, the Security Council Secretary noted.
According to Yerevan, on February 13, the Azerbaijani military opened fire in the Nerkin Hand region. The Armenian Ministry of Defense reported four of its soldiers dead and several wounded.
