In Crimea, police officers issued human rights activist Abdureshit Dzhepparov a warning against violating the law. Law enforcement officials explained the document's origins in connection with the upcoming holiday on May 9th, but such actions typically occur shortly before the Day of Remembrance for the Victims of the Deportation of the Crimean Tatar People (May 18th).
Armenia again ignored the CSTO meeting
The representative of Armenia once again did not take part in the working meeting of representatives of the CSTO member countries in Skopje (North Macedonia). This was reported by the press secretary of the country's Foreign Ministry Badalyan.
The CSTO meeting took place on November 30 on the sidelines of the 30th session of the OSCE Council of Foreign Ministers. The day before, an Armenian-British agreement on cooperation in the military sphere for 2023–2024 was signed in London.
On November 14, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced that he “would not be able to take part” in the CSTO meeting in Minsk on November 23. After this, on November 22, Foreign Minister Mirzoyan and Defense Minister Papikyan refused to participate.
