Armenia has banned Russian bank cards
From March 30, Russian Mir bank cards will stop working in most banks in Armenia. An exception will be branches of VTB Armenia. Only in them will it be possible to withdraw cash and make online purchases.
Earlier, Bereke Bank from Kazakhstan announced the termination of Mir services, and local Freedom Finance banned transfers from Russian card to card. Prior to this, US sanctions were imposed on the Russian payment system.
Armenia recently announced its desire to join the European Union. In addition, Yerevan froze its participation in the pro-Russian military-political bloc CSTO.
