Azerbaijan May Join Abraham Accords After Concluding Peace Deal with Armenia

According to Reuters, the Donald Trump administration is holding talks with Azerbaijan on possible accession to the Abraham Accords. Baku already has diplomatic relations with Jerusalem, and participation in the agreements is seen as a way to deepen cooperation.

It is reported that a key condition for joining the agreements is a peaceful settlement of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia. Negotiations between Washington and Baku are already at an advanced stage - an agreement could be reached in the coming months.

In addition, the US administration announced talks on joining the Abraham Accords with Central Asian countries and Kazakhstan.

The so-called Abraham Accords are a series of agreements on normalizing relations between Israel and a number of Arab countries, signed in 2020-2021. These agreements, named after the patriarch Abraham, the common ancestor of Judaism, Christianity and Islam, provide for the establishment of diplomatic relations between the parties.
