Azerbaijan emphasized the importance of concluding a peace treaty with Armenia after changing its Constitution

Baku cannot conclude a peace treaty with Yerevan because of the Armenian constitution. There is a link to a document that talks about the unification of Karabakh with Armenia. President Ilham Aliyev stated this.

He emphasized that Azerbaijan's demands to change the Constitution of Armenia do not constitute interference in its affairs, but are necessary for the peaceful development of the two countries.

“The text of the peace treaty between Baku and Yerevan is 80-90% agreed upon. Both Armenia and Azerbaijan should jointly appeal to the OSCE with a request to dissolve the Minsk Group, since this group has been virtually inactive for the last couple of years,” Aliyev noted.

The OSCE Minsk Group was called upon to resolve the Karabakh conflict. The co-chairs of the Minsk Group are Russia, the USA and France. In addition to them, the composition includes Belarus, Germany, Italy, Türkiye, Finland and Sweden.
