Russia does not intend to comply with the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) ruling requiring Georgian citizens to pay over 250 million euros, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov stated. When asked about the possibility of improving Russian-Georgian relations if the payment were made, Peskov noted that the Kremlin views this issue as a separate matter.

Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan Hikmet Hajiyev said that the country is cooperating with the International Committee of the Red Cross to ensure the simultaneous opening of the Agdam-Khankendi and Lachin-Khankendi roads in Karabakh.
“But the illegal regime (in the Armenian separatist enclave in Azerbaijani Karabakh), subordinate to Armenia, refuses to allow passage and open roads,” Hajiyev said. He called on international partners to “put pressure on Armenia and the separatists in Karabakh to stop this destructive policy.”
Earlier, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry expressed a guarantee of respect for all rights and freedoms of Armenians in Karabakh. “The Government of Azerbaijan is committed to the course of reintegrating ethnic Armenians living in the Karabakh region as equal citizens. Azerbaijan guarantees the observance of all relevant rights and freedoms enshrined in its constitution and international agreements,” said Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov in his speech at the 54th session of the UN Human Rights Council.
