Azerbaijan to Provide Humanitarian Aid to Ukraine Again
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree allocating $1 million to support Ukraine. These funds will be used to purchase and ship electrical equipment produced in Azerbaijan.
"The Republic of Azerbaijan, based on the principles of humanism, provides humanitarian aid to many countries of the world on a bilateral and multilateral basis," the official website of the head of the republic says.
Baku has already provided humanitarian aid to Kyiv. In July 2023, Azerbaijan sent $7.6 million for similar purposes, and in 2022, the amount of support exceeded $17.6 million. In addition to financial assistance, Azerbaijan has accepted Ukrainian children for medical and psychological rehabilitation.
Ilham Aliyev has repeatedly expressed support for the territorial integrity of Ukraine, calling the war "a tragedy for both peoples."
