Azerbaijan reports new shelling by Armenian military

Armenian units opened fire on Azerbaijani positions in the Kelbajar region. This was announced today by the Defense Ministry of Azerbaijan. Yerevan, however, denies the charges.

“On September 4, at 07:20 am, units of the Armenian armed forces from their positions in the direction of the settlement of Yukhara, Shorja, Basarkechyar region, fired at the positions of the Azerbaijani Army in the direction of the settlement of Ellidzh, Kalbajar region, from positions of various caliber small arms,” the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan said in a statement. The attacked units retaliated.

The Armenian Defense Ministry reacted to the situation by stating on its Telegram channel that Baku's message "does not correspond to reality."
