Baku did not allow the Karabakh military to dig trenches

Azerbaijani army units prevented an attempt by the Karabakh military to lay trenches near the line of contact in the Lachin region. This was stated by the country's defense department.

“On September 6, at about 12:10, illegal Armenian armed formations on the territory of Azerbaijan, where the Russian peacekeeping contingent is temporarily deployed, made an attempt to dig new trench roads in order to approach the positions of the Azerbaijani army in the Lachin direction,” reads a publication on the website of the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan . The ministry stressed that urgent measures were taken by the Azerbaijani military, as a result of which construction work was stopped.

Recall that on September 5, the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan accused the military of Nagorno-Karabakh of trying to build fortifications. The Karabakh side rejected these accusations, stating in response to the active movement of Azerbaijani military equipment near the line of contact. The Ministry of Defense of Nagorno-Karabakh has not yet reacted to today's information.
