The Georgian Parliament has expeditiously passed a bill in its third and final reading requiring organizers of protests in "places where people gather or where vehicles are moving" (including on sidewalks) to notify the police. The responsible person must contact the Patrol Service Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (located at the location of the demonstration) in writing no later than five days before the rally.
Azerbaijani Presidential Aide Hikmat Hajiyev expressed condolences in a telephone conversation with the Deputy Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council over the deaths of Iranian commanders and scientists during the 12-day war. Hajiyev also condemned Israel's strikes.
The parties stressed the importance of strengthening Iranian-Azerbaijani ties and agreed to speed up the implementation of previously reached agreements, and discussed preparations for a visit by a senior Iranian official to Baku and issues related to Iranian students in Azerbaijan.
During and after the 12-day war between Israel and Iran, some Iranian circles claimed that Israel allegedly used Azerbaijani territory and airspace during the conflict. Azerbaijan denied these accusations.
