The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) has published a report alleging that Georgian authorities used chemical weapons during the suppression of pro-European protests in Tbilisi in 2024. The chemical weapon in question is bromobenzyl cyanide, a chemical warfare agent dating back to World War I, also known as "kamit."
In the regions of the North Caucasus, the ratio of the number of vacancies to the number of unemployed is close to zero. In Ingushetia, there are 128 unemployed people per 1,000 residents - a record for the country. In second place is Dagestan, where 52 out of 1,000 people are unemployed.
Also in the top five outsiders were North Ossetia and Chechnya - 28 unemployed people per 1,000 residents. The leaders in labor shortages were the Amur Region, the Jewish Autonomous Region and the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug.
The largest share of the labor force is in Moscow and the Moscow Region - 16% of the total.
The highest percentage of the economically active population works in the northern regions. The highest figure is in Chukotka, where the labor force makes up 76% of the region's population. In Moscow, this figure is 64%.
