On the night of August 30, Ukrainian drones attacked several regions of Russia. One of the targets, according to monitoring resources and satellite imagery published online, was a military airfield in Yeysk, Krasnodar Krai.

The "Krymskiy Veter" Telegram channel reports that a fire broke out at the airfield after the attack, and a secondary detonation continued. Satellite imagery published online indicates fires near the taxiway, storage facilities, and a suspected fuel and lubricants depot.

Local residents also reported that explosions and impacts were heard not only in the airfield area but also within the military compound. Official authorities in the Krasnodar Territory had not commented on the attack at the time of publication.

The 859th Center for Combat Employment and Retraining of Naval Aviation Pilots of the Russian Navy is based at the Yeysk airfield. The NITKA complex, a ground training facility designed for deck-based aircraft takeoff and landing practices, is also located there.

This is not the first attack on facilities in the Yeysk area in recent times. On August 22, the Ukrainian Defense Forces reported hitting fuel and lubricant tanks at the Yeysk Oil Terminal in Krasnodar Krai. The strike caused a fire at the facility.

Furthermore, drones attacked the Leningrad Region on Sunday night. Regional Governor Alexander Drozdenko reported a fire in the industrial zone of Kirishi in the morning. Footage of a large fire has surfaced online, which, according to preliminary reports, occurred near the Kirishinefteorgsintez oil refinery, one of Russia's largest with a processing capacity of approximately 20 million tons of oil per year. The plant has previously been subject to drone attacks.
