Bosnia and Herzegovina refused to deport a native of Chechnya to Russia
The authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina granted asylum to a native of Chechnya, Selima Khadisova, and her three children. According to human rights activists, if she were deported at Moscow's request, her children could be taken away from her and she herself could be tortured.

Earlier, protests against the extradition of Selima Khadisova took place in front of the embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Vienna. Participants stated that if this happens, the woman faces violations of her rights, torture, and even death.

At the end of September, Selima Khadisova and her minor children flew from Turkey to Sarajevo, where she was detained. The request from Moscow stated that the woman allegedly left for Syria in 2015, where she joined the Islamic State and fought on the side of the terrorists. Khadisova herself denied all accusations. According to her, she lived in Turkey and had never been to Syria.
