Dagestan topped the rating of Russian regions in terms of population commitment to a healthy lifestyle, scoring 99.1 points out of 100. This was reported by RIA Novosti. In second place is Chechnya (95.5 points), in third place is Kabardino-Balkaria (87.8 points).
 
The top 10 regions of the Russian Federation also included Ingushetia and Stavropol Krai, taking 8th and 9th places with rating points of 82.3 and 81.7, respectively. Karachay-Cherkessia is in 22nd place in the rating for population commitment to a healthy lifestyle.
 
The Jewish Autonomous Region, Kamchatka Krai, Magadan Region, the Republic of Khakassia and Zabaikalsky Krai made up the last five.
 
The calculations took into account a number of factors: the proportion of residents involved in physical education and sports, alcohol and tobacco consumption, the number of crimes committed while under the influence of alcohol and drugs, as well as the proportion of people employed in jobs with harmful and hazardous working conditions.
