The “Tskaev case” about the murder of a Vladikavkaz resident at the police department was returned for further investigation

The Leninsky District Court of Vladikavkaz returned a high-profile criminal case to the prosecutor's office for further investigation to eliminate violations identified during the preliminary investigation. We are talking about proving the guilt of a group of police officers in the murder of local resident Vladimir Tskaev.

Previously, the Leninsky Court found ten ex-policemen guilty of torture and murder and sentenced them to real terms of imprisonment. Two received 10 years in a maximum security colony, one received 10.5 years. The rest were sentenced to 8, 3 and 4 years. Four convicts were sentenced to serve sentences in a penal colony - 3 and 2.5 years each. Later, two convicts were released on parole. Another four were released from the imposed punishment due to the expiration of the statute of limitations.

Previously, the court left without consideration the claim of the widow Zemfira Tskaeva against the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation for compensation for moral damage in the amount of 15 million rubles. On October 31, 2015, Vladimir Tskaev was taken to the building of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Vladikavkaz on suspicion of gunshot wounding a police officer (later it turned out that the man was not involved in the crime). For several hours, the operatives beat the detainee until he lost consciousness, and also tried to strangle him with a bag. The man soon died in the hospital.
