Uzbek MP calls on Kadyrov to apologize for threats and interference in the country's affairs
The Russian Prosecutor General's Office must give a legal assessment of the threats made by the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, against Uzbek officials. He is obliged to publicly apologize to the people of Uzbekistan. This was stated by the country's MP Odiljon Tojiyev.

"I categorically condemn the interference of the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, in the internal affairs of Uzbekistan, as well as his threats or pressure against Uzbek government officials. He must provide practical assistance in finding Beslan Rasayev and Shamil Temirkhanov, who are wanted, and hand them over to Uzbekistan," Tojiyev said.

Former MP of Uzbekistan Rasul Kusherbayev, in turn, proposed tightening checks for Chechen citizens and stopping air traffic with Grozny.

"Threatening Uzbek officials is terrorism. We cannot leave such actions unanswered," Kusherbayev noted.

Earlier, Uzbekistan put two natives of Chechnya on the international wanted list - 36-year-old Bislan Rasayev and 31-year-old Shamil Temirkhanov. They are suspected of involvement in the assassination attempt on local officials.

According to investigators, Rasayev and Temirkhanov arrived in the country separately. The people who ordered the assassination offered them one and a half million dollars for the murder of the former head of the information policy department of the Presidential Administration Komil Allamjonov and the head of the National Agency for Prospective Projects (NAPP) Dmitry Li, according to Uzbek law enforcement agencies. An attempt was made to kill Komil Allamjonov in late October in a suburb of Tashkent. His car was fired upon by unknown persons.

Ramzan Kadyrov stated that neither he nor the natives of the republic were involved in the assassination attempt.

"I recommend that Komil Allamjonov and Dmitry Li not to play the role of victims. Whatever you are planning, it is better to stop in time, otherwise you will have to answer for all the intrigues, slander and speculation. And now I am talking about the answer according to our traditions,” Kadyrov threatened.
