The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) has published a report alleging that Georgian authorities used chemical weapons during the suppression of pro-European protests in Tbilisi in 2024. The chemical weapon in question is bromobenzyl cyanide, a chemical warfare agent dating back to World War I, also known as "kamit."
The economies of Georgia and Armenia grew with the influx of Russian citizens and money.
In 2022, more than 200,000 unwilling Russians arrived in Georgia, which contributed to a 10% increase in GDP. This is reported by the Polish Enterprise Support Institute.
Some 13,500 Russian companies have also been registered in Georgia since the outbreak of the Russian-Ukrainian war.
The situation is similar in Armenia. Economic growth due to the inflow of Russian money and citizens was recorded at 17%. This led to the creation of over 5,000 IT companies in Armenia.
