The ex-President of Armenia announced the program to remove Prime Minister Pashinyan from power

The opposition Republican Party has a plan for a street fight against the current Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, which can be implemented before the 2026 parliamentary elections. This was stated by former President of Armenia and party leader Serzh Sargsyan.

According to him, street actions are likely in Armenia and society is ripe for them. Sargsyan noted that he does not plan to take the post of head of state again.

In March, the Prosecutor General's Office of Armenia brought new charges against Serzh Sargsyan - for the protection and laundering of funds in person on a large scale. According to the investigation, he illegally acquired real estate on the territory of the Erablur military pantheon.

In 2019, Sargsyan was charged with organizing the embezzlement of state funds personally on a large scale, as well as with the fact that he helped the company win a tender for the supply of diesel fuel. Then he was acquitted.

Serzh Sargsyan held the post of President of Armenia for almost ten years (until 2018). He was forced to resign after the "Velvet Revolution" led by the current Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
