Yerevan calculates risks associated with withdrawal from the CSTO

It is necessary to carefully calculate all the risks associated with Armenia's possible withdrawal from the CSTO. Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan shared these thoughts at the Warsaw Security Forum. He stressed that special caution should be exercised in this matter.

"We do not see ourselves in a military alliance that does not work," Mirzoyan said.

The minister also recalled that Armenia has frozen its membership in the CSTO and does not intend to return to previous cooperation.

Recall that Armenia recently refused to participate in the CSTO military exercises "Indestructible Brotherhood - 2024", which started in Kazakhstan.

Earlier, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said that the CSTO "created threats to the country's sovereignty." According to him, the next step after suspending participation in the organization will be withdrawal from it.

In addition, recently, within the framework of the UN General Assembly, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan boycotted the meeting of the CSTO foreign ministers.
