Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev announced that construction of the Zangezur Corridor in the country is nearing completion. He expressed confidence that the August agreements reached in Washington with Armenia to connect the mainland of Azerbaijan with the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic will contribute to expanding international transit opportunities.

Due to the damage caused to the Azerbaijani embassy in Ukraine by Russian strikes, Baku summoned the Russian ambassador and presented him with a note of protest. Today marks the 81st anniversary of the deportation of the Meskhetian Turks. In November 1944, on Stalin's orders, approximately 86,000 Meskhetian Turks were forcibly deported from Meskheti (a region in modern-day Georgia) to Central Asia. This deportation resulted in the deaths of 17,000 people, and the survivors found new homes in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan.
