Four more people were sentenced to long terms on charges of disturbances at Makhachkala airport
Georgievsky City Court of Stavropol sentenced Marat Rabadanov, Rajab Rajabov, Magomed Ramazanov and Zaurbeg Khalikov. They were sentenced to 10 years in the colony.
 
According to the investigation, the defendants, together with other residents of Dagestan, participated in the destruction and damage to the property of the Makhachkala airport on October 29, 2023. They are found guilty of committing the crimes provided for in part. 2 Art. 212 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (participation in mass riots accompanied by violence, pogroms, destruction of property, as well as providing armed resistance to a representative of the authorities).
 
According to the SC, 142 people are involved in the crimes. In relation to 135 defendants, the preliminary investigation was completed. 28 criminal cases were sent to court. In seven cases, 38 defendants were found guilty and sentenced to long prison terms.
 
As a reminder, on October 29, 2023, hundreds of people broke into the Makhachkala airport, trying to find passengers of a transit flight from Tel Aviv. Those gathered opposed Israel's actions in Palestine.
