Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan accused his predecessors—former presidents Levon Ter-Petrosyan, Robert Kocharyan, and Serzh Sargsyan—of concealing the truth about the Karabakh settlement from the Armenian people. The European Commission has published a report on Georgia’s implementation of 12 recommendations necessary to continue European integration and join the European Union. Based on the conclusion, on December 14-15, the European Council will make a final decision on granting Georgia status.
The EC recommends granting Georgia the status of an EU candidate country, but subject to a number of conditions, including following the foreign policy of Brussels.
Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili commented on the decision of the European Commission. “Despite the sabotage, provocations and destructive actions of internal and external enemies, we will win. I am confident that today's decision will be formalized in December. This is a very strong step forward for European integration,” Garibashvili said.
