Also, according to him, Crimean Tatars Asan and Aziz Akhmetov, who were sentenced to long terms in the case of sabotage on a gas pipeline, are being tortured in Simferopol SIZO-2. “The source said that the punishers from the administration of the Simferopol SIZO-2 are afraid to use physical violence against Nariman Dzhelal because of his international popularity, but they torture Asan and Aziz,” Chubarov said.

Nariman Dzhelal and the Akhtemov brothers were found guilty in September 2022 of sabotage on a gas pipeline in the village of Perevalnoe. The first was sentenced to 17 years, and the other two were sentenced to 15 and 13 years in a strict regime colony.
