Foreign Minister: Azerbaijan continues to provide humanitarian assistance to Ukraine

Azerbaijan supported the sovereignty of Ukraine and continues to provide humanitarian assistance to it. This was announced by Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov at the Council of Europe summit in Iceland.

“Azerbaijan is in favor of a speedy settlement of the conflict based on the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine. The dire humanitarian consequences call for urgent action to alleviate human suffering. For this reason, Azerbaijan continues to provide humanitarian assistance to the people of Ukraine,” Bayramov said.

Recently, at a meeting of the Azerbaijani Parliament in honor of the 100th anniversary of Heydar Aliyev, Vice Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Kondratyuk thanked the country's leadership: “I want to thank the leadership of Azerbaijan for the constant support of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine. It will unconditionally support the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan within its internationally recognized borders. Special thanks to the ethnic Azerbaijanis who fought for our freedom in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. We Ukrainians will never forget their contribution to our joint victory over Russian aggression.”
