By decree of President Vladimir Putin, the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Ingushetia, Mikhail Korobkin, has been dismissed. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Korobkin's resignation was preceded by information in the media. In particular, he stopped being mentioned in the official press releases of the department, and his disappearance from the public sphere coincided with searches at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ingushetia in connection with a case of theft of a large sum of money. Ren-TV reported that Korobkin was suspected of corruption and damages of 500 million rubles. In early July, employees of the Main Directorate of Internal Security (GUSB) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs from Moscow conducted a series of searches, including at the minister's home.
