Law enforcement officials explained the document's origins in connection with the upcoming holiday on May 9th, but such actions typically occur shortly before the Day of Remembrance for the Victims of the Deportation of the Crimean Tatar People (May 18th).
Georgia will offer Abkhazia and South Ossetia peace and a European choice
Peace, development and a European future will be offered by Georgia to occupied Abkhazia and South Ossetia. This was stated in parliament by the candidate for the post of State Minister of Georgia for Reconciliation and Civil Equality, Teya Akhvlediani.
According to her, the Georgian government’s special concern remains meeting the needs of the population living near the dividing lines and implementing infrastructural, socio-economic, educational and other measures to support them.
The new candidate for Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, stated that among his main missions is the implementation of the slogan “Georgia together with Abkhazia and South Ossetia, Abkhazians and Ossetians.”
