Georgia Co-authors US Draft UN Resolution on War in Ukraine
Official Tbilisi has co-authored the US-proposed resolution of the United Nations General Assembly (UN) on the war in Ukraine. This was reported by The Wall Street Journal, citing sources.
 
Earlier, Washington presented an alternative version of the UN resolution on the occasion of the third anniversary of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine. The American draft resolution consists of only three paragraphs (65 words) and is written in a neutral style.
 
It is noteworthy that the text, compiled taking into account Russian edits, differs significantly from the original prepared by Ukraine and European allies. The American resolution does not condemn Moscow for starting the war and does not require it to withdraw its troops. According to The Wall Street Journal, British and French diplomats offered the US to amend their draft, but were refused.
