The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) has published a report alleging that Georgian authorities used chemical weapons during the suppression of pro-European protests in Tbilisi in 2024. The chemical weapon in question is bromobenzyl cyanide, a chemical warfare agent dating back to World War I, also known as "kamit."
Ingushetia has the lowest prices for new apartments in the country, averaging 57,000 rubles per square meter. Data from the Unified Interdepartmental Information and Statistical System demonstrates a significant difference from national averages (205,000 rubles per square meter in new buildings and 128,000 rubles per square meter on the existing market).
Apartments are slightly more expensive than in Ingushetia in Kabardino-Balkaria (68,000 rubles per square meter) and Karachay-Cherkessia (78,000 rubles).
Experts believe this situation is due to a combination of factors. First, low incomes force developers to offer more affordable projects. Second, labor and land costs in the region are significantly lower than national averages, reducing construction costs. Third, the traditional lifestyle, oriented toward large families living in private homes, reduces demand for multi-family housing.
