A well-known former lawyer from North Ossetia will be tried in Donetsk

The military prosecutor's office in Moscow has approved the charges against former lawyer from North Ossetia Elman Pashayev. He is accused of fraud on an especially large scale and attempted fraud. The case has been sent for consideration to the Donetsk Garrison Military Court

Pashayev was detained in September 2024. The investigation believes that he met in Moscow with the husband of the arrested blogger, "queen of marathons" Elena Blinovskaya, Alexey. The lawyer convinced him that for 47 million rubles he could free him and his wife from criminal liability for tax evasion. Pashayev received money from Blinovsky, but apparently did not fulfill his obligations.

The former lawyer is also accused of attempting to steal 15 million rubles from a resident of Petrozavodsk. Pashayev promised the man money to help him escape criminal liability for drug trafficking and money laundering. He managed to get more than 10.5 million rubles.

Recall that in 2020, Elman Pashayev defended Russian actor Mikhail Efremov, who, while drunk at the wheel, drove into the oncoming lane in the center of the capital and crashed into a van. The driver of the van died. Efremov stated that Pashayev convinced him to bribe three witnesses. In court, they said that Efremov himself was not driving at the time of the accident, and someone else was driving the car.
