The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) has published a report alleging that Georgian authorities used chemical weapons during the suppression of pro-European protests in Tbilisi in 2024. The chemical weapon in question is bromobenzyl cyanide, a chemical warfare agent dating back to World War I, also known as "kamit."
In April 2025, the cost of a square meter of new housing in the KBR decreased by 6.7%. According to this indicator, the region took first place in Russia, according to the Unified Register of Developers.
Also among the leaders were the Novgorod Region - minus 5.1% (up to 104,425 rubles per square meter), Omsk Region - 2.1% (up to 157,280 rubles per square meter), Kostroma Region - 1.7% (up to 100,774 rubles per square meter), Moscow - 1.5% (up to 349,763 rubles per square meter).
At the same time, North Ossetia and the Karachay-Cherkess Republic took 6th and 7th places in the rating for the growth in the cost of a square meter in new buildings. In both republics, the price increased by 2.4% (to 113,246 rubles and 97,791 rubles, respectively).
In 2024, Chechnya led the rating for decreasing housing costs by a wide margin, and the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic and Dagestan entered the top 10.
