Kadyrov and Mikhalkov awarded each other

Head of the Chechen Republic Ramzan Kadyrov awarded film director and TV presenter Nikita Mikhalkov with the title of Honored Artist of Chechnya. In response, the latter gave Kadyrov 50 episodes of the Besogon TV program on a flash drive made in the shape of a pen.

Mikhalkov came to Grozny for the festival of national theaters. He said that the Chechen Republic is the birthplace of his cinema: the film "A Stranger Among Strangers, a Stranger Among His Own" was filmed here 50 years ago.

"We had a good conversation. Nikita Sergeyevich recalled some working and awkward moments during the filming of his first film in Grozny. By the way, he was then invited to the republic to work on the film by the outstanding Chechen choreographer, actor and ballet master Makhmud Esambayev," Kadyrov wrote on his Telegram channel. According to him, Mikhalkov is known for his strong civic position and supports Russian President Vladimir Putin.
